There is a whole industry built on expired domains. If your name has resale value or your site has generated some traffic, your domain is likely to be snapped up in order to generate revenue. Even worse, many domains will be redirected to 'adult' or gambling sites.
NameTrust was established in 2003 to address problems like this. We manage domain names on a non-proft basis. Our intention is to act as a steward for these names until they can be developed for a worthy purpose.
If you are interested in one of our names please . While we do have plans for some of our names, if you are a non-profit organization with a worthy project, we are usually happy to pass them on. We charge a small fee to cover our costs, and reserve the right to refuse anybody. In some cases, we prefer to lease the names.
If you represent a commercial entity, please feel free to contact us as well. We will consider selling some of our names for business use. In such cases we ask for the fair market value of the name, and are happy to arrange for a professional third-party appraisal.
